William Branham's mutable god
William Branham’s great revelation of the “Unveiling of God” that he sought to connect with Phil. 2 was this:
“God changed Himself, changes His form. If you notice here in Philippians, He said, “Not thinking it robbery, but took the form of man.”—William Branham - 1964-0614M - The Unveiling Of God
“And that’s God. He changed Himself from—from a Pillar of Fire, to become a Man. Then changed Hisself from that, back in the Spirit again, that He might dwell in man. God acting in man what He really was. Jesus Christ, was God acting in Man, in a Man.” 64-0614M - The Unveiling Of God
Similar statements are throughout his sermon. Paul never said God changed forms, but that the Son of God (Yeshua Messiah) ‘emptied himself and took the form of a servant.’ But to William Branham the Son was but God in a drama playing a character called “Son” which is anti-Biblical and anti Father and Son (1 John 2:22).
Phil 2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
