The Holy Spirit or William Branham? (Matthias the 12th Apostle - Judas’ replacement)
The Holy Spirit or William Branham? (Matthias the 12th Apostle - Judas’ replacement) Acts 1:15-20
Acts 1:16 “Brethren, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.
Acts 1:20c - ‘LET ANOTHER MAN TAKE HIS OFFICE.’
The Apostle Peter was inspired and directed by the Holy Spirit to apply to Judas the text wherein the Holy Spirit said,
“LET ANOTHER TAKE HIS OFFICE.” (PSALMS 109:8)
There was an immediate necessity for this position to be filled and with the same divine inspiration the essential qualifications for that replacement were set forth.
Acts 1:21 Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us— 22 beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us—one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
It is utterly preposterous to imagine Peter was inspired to interpret Ps. 109:8 as applicable to Judas (according to the Holy Spirit) and then He was errant in the succeeding verses wherein the qualifications (which Paul did not meet) were set forth and Matthias “was added to the eleven apostles.”
William Branham’s rejection of Peter’s inspiration and mockery of the eye-witness of Christ’s resurrection—the Apostle Matthias, is disgraceful and an affront to the Holy Spirit, the Holy Apostles and the NT church.
